An Optimizer's Website

I ran a solo cleaning company from 2005 to 2018 that sold for close to six figures and I never had my own website. This seems unbelievable in our tech world, but it's true! My business grew from year-to-year through referrals through my local network
When I started my second solo cleaning business in 2018 in a new state, my playbook was the same. I cranked up a new local network of people that knew, liked, and trusted me. However, something was missing! I didn't have any way to stay in touch with people and stay top of mind. My goal was to build a new solo cleaning company with a large network but to combine all of the tech that I've learned. This would require the following:
  1. Website - Do you have a piece of real estate online where prospects can learn about your company and contact you? I did not for years. My Carfagno Cleaning 1.0 website launched in October 2019. I needed it to start the process of building an email list locally.
  2. Google My Business - When prospects search for cleaning in your area, does your website and company name show up? This is called SEO and the fastest, most inexpensive way to do that is through Google My Business. I set this up at the same time as my website and collected reviews for months after.
  3. Lead Magnet - When prospects land on your website, do you have a compelling free offer to entice them to sign up for your mailing list? I give away a free disinfecting course.
  4. Newsletter - Once you have prospects and friends in your network on your email list, are you building trust and staying top of mind through regular and helpful emails? I send these emails at 10 am on the first and third Fridays of each month like clockwork.
It took me about 5 months to get these four tools in place. I was now sending regular cleaning tips and updates to serve my community and remain top of mind. Prospects would find me online and contact me. Over the years, I've answered so many FAQs. I would invest time in phone calls and in-person estimates to filter the right clients in and the wrong ones out. It's redundant and takes time. I read the book, "They Ask, You Answer" and it convicted me to make the vital change to convert my business website from company information to a source of information on 'Everything Cleaning'. I wanted my website to take a prospect through a journey to build trust and to answer all of their questions.

I call this my Optimizer's Website because it now accomplishes my goal! Feel free to check it out and copy it if you'd like.
