Why do you have a cleaning company? Did you want to be your own boss? Did you want more time and money to spend with those you care about? Did you want to create good jobs for a certain group of people in your community? Your WHY needs to crystalize and inspire you to action EVERY time you think about it.

Your WHY will go nowhere without a HOW!
There's a myth out there that if we do nothing, we'll stay the same. Nothing in life stays the same. All of God's creation is either growing or dying. If you don't have a goal, you are cruising downhill and going backward. It's the "Slight Edge" at work against you. Goals inspire you to grow.
The Harvard study referenced in this video and any others that you find online all say the same thing. You must have a clearly written goal and a solid game plan to achieve your WHY! The goal must follow the S.M.A.R.T. framework so you can track your progress. Then, you must give it a deadline and be held accountable to its completion.

How do you choose an accountability partner? Try to choose someone that is where you want to be in life. Select someone who has a track record of setting & achieving SMART goals in their cleaning company. If you cannot find someone like that, select a member of your tribe who is also wanting accountability to grow their cleaning company and win. Do not choose someone who can bring you down as you will become the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with. Therefore, choose someone that will lift you up, challenge you to keep pushing ahead, remind you of your WHY, and ask you on a regular basis how your current SMART goal is going.
Whether you choose someone ahead of you or striving alongside you, the Power in Accountability works in your favor. Why? You will NOT want to let them down. It's the ultimate irony. You will work harder for them than you would for yourself. And the "work" is for yourself.

What exactly is a SMART goal?
The S. M. A. R. T. Goal Framework

Specific – Make the goal answer WHO it includes, WHERE it will occur, WHAT you want to accomplish, and WHICH constraints could affect it. Measurable – Make the goal simple to track and quantify. What gets measured, gets managed. Either use a numeric or Yes/No structure. Attainable – Make your first goal realistic to start the Momentum Cycle. Subsequent goals should be more aggressive as confidence grows. Relevant – Your goal must matter to your WHY. If the goal accomplishes "stuff" for you, but doesn't get you closer to your dream, it's not SMART. Time-Bound – Give your goal a deadline or it will never get accomplished. Deadlines create tension and tension creates action. |

Then you must persevere, get into accountability with someone you respect, achieve the goal, and set a new one! This is the formula that all successful entrepreneurs follow. Set a SMART goal, achieve it, experience the WIN and confidence boost. These SMART goal small wins stack like bricks and create a momentum for BIG WINS! Therefore, set a new SMART goal RIGHT AWAY! Make this new one more aggressive. Winning again and again creates a habit of setting & achieving goals in your business. This habit will spill over into your relationships, family and health and massively upgrade your life.
